About Fantasy League Lottery

Built by a Commissioner, for Commissioners
I'm RJ, a fantasy league commissioner from Toronto. Every draft lottery tool I found was basically a random number generator. You run it, screenshot the result, and hope your league believes you didn't re-roll. Some commissioners record the whole thing on video just to prove it's legit.
I wanted something better. Results that are sealed the moment they're generated. No one sees them, not even you. A reveal date the whole league counts down to. And when it hits, everyone's flipping picks together in real time. No video proof. No screenshots. No “just trust me.”
Then I went deeper. I built four weighting modes (equal odds, NBA-style, linear, and fully custom) so commissioners can match the exact feel of their league. I added pick constraints so you can lock a team into a draft range. Try guaranteeing the last-place team picks top 3. The math behind weighted lotteries with constraints was genuinely hard to get right. But after building it, it was worth it. Every commissioner now has access to the same tools the real NBA and NHL use, for free.
Then the non-lottery headaches hit. Half my league couldn't find our rules doc when a trade dispute blew up. Everyone had an opinion, nobody had the actual rule. So I built a shareable league constitution with smart Q&A — paste your rules, share a link, and let anyone ask “what does our IR rule say?” instead of texting you at midnight.
Trade disputes were even worse. Two managers arguing over whether a trade was fair, both coming to me expecting me to pick a side. Sometimes I just wished for a non-biased opinion to settle league arguments — one that doesn't play favorites and can actually reference our league rules. That's how the Unbiased Ruling feature was born. Describe the situation, present both sides, link your constitution, and get a verdict you can drop in the group chat.
What started as a side project for my 12-team fantasy football league has grown into a full commissioner toolkit: weighted draft lotteries, live card-flip reveals, race mode, anonymous league polls, a shareable constitution with smart Q&A, a trade analyzer, rulings for settling disputes, and draft recaps with stats breakdowns. Every feature exists because a real commissioner needed it — usually me, at 1 AM, dealing with something I wished I had a tool for.
Thank You
First, to L and JMB — you two have been here from day one, pushing me to make this better at every step. This product wouldn't be what it is without you.
To the early donors who backed this project before it had any traction — JO L., Farhat K., Dale R., Top C., and Dillon W. — your generosity kept this thing alive when it was just one guy coding at 1 AM.
And to everyone who's sent a Reddit message, emailed feedback, or dropped a note about a bug or a feature idea — you've shaped every part of this tool.
